Fish farming

Japanese eat a lot of fish ,then we are familiar with fish farming or pisciculture.
For example, “BURI”(yellowtail), “MADAI”(sea bream),”KANPACHI”(great amberjack) are popular as farmed fish.

Japanese fish farming techniques are excellent.
Therefore there are many patents in this field.
About 1500 patents have been filed and more than 400 patents were registered.

As described above, it’s surprisingly interesting many patents about eel or salmon are seen.
Maybe it’s partly because Japanese love to eat them.
Especially in hot summer, we often go Unagi restaurant and eat eels cooked as Kabayaki.
They are delicious!
